And yes, there really is a "Lenny"! Lenny McCarthy opened the first Lenny's Shoe & Apparel in Barre in 1990. The McCarthys opened the St. Albans store in 1994, and the Williston store in 1996. The newest location, the Lenny's Outlet Store in downtown Barre, opened in 2005 - in the space where the store first opened its doors 15 years ago.
